High School Hockey Scholarship
The Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation has dedicated 25% of its annual proceeds to the growth and support of amateur hockey in Columbus.
Each season, a portion of these proceeds are specifically earmarked for the purpose of continuing an annual educational scholarship for a graduating high school senior who wishes to further his/her education beyond high school. These students have excelled both in their commitment to hockey and in their academic and extracurricular activities at their respective school. This scholarship is not based on performance as a hockey player. It is based on character and overall achievements during high school.

Where we are now!
Paul Sheldon is at Lehigh University, where he is enrolled in the Integrated Business and Engineering (IBE) program. He was on the Dean's List for both semesters for his freshman year and is a member of the national honor fraternity, Phi Sigma Pi. Paul continues to play hockey at Lehigh and was on the Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference 2007-2008 championship team. He is still actively involved in service work, and served as a leader on several middle and high school mission trips this past summer.
Matt Kirstein at Penn State University and plays for the ACHA Division 1 Penn State Ice Hockey Team. He is a finance major and economics minor and just recently completed an internship in Columbus at a company called RockBridge Capital. I could not imagine myself at any other school and I absolutely love being at Penn State. Penn State and the Penn State Hockey Program have given me wonderful opportunities. I would like to thank the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation for my scholarship and for everything they do in the community to help young kids.
Graham Judge is at Earlham College in Richmond Indiana, majoring in Biology and Art. He spends a lot of time in the field in acreage at the back of the campus and in the ceramics room. He is a staff member of the Joseph Moore Museum, a natural history museum where he was able to help assemble a Smilodon (sabre-toothed cat) skeleton. In July, he spent five days with Earlham biologists in Indiana trapping and studying different species of turtles. There is no ice, so I play club rugby.
