
Book Jackets
The successful Columbus Blue Jackets Book Jackets program Powered by AEP is a reading incentive program established in 2000 to encourage students in grades K-8 to spend more of their free time reading. The program is easy to implement and helps your students become All-Star readers with updated reading goals and the ability to win great Blue Jackets prizes! View the Book Jackets Educator's Starter Kit (coming soon). Students keep "score" of minutes read throughout a 4-week reading period and are rewarded with Blue Jackets prizes upon completion.
How Book Jackets Works:
- Download the Educator's Starter Kit
- Your kit includes:
- An Instructor Manual
- Student Scorecards
- Classroom Poster
- Puck Name Markers
- Certificate of Completion
- Book Jackets All-Star Roster Form
- Help your students track their reading minutes over a four-week period on the STUDENT SCORECARDS and CLASSROOM POSTER
- Complete the Book Jackets ALL-STAR ROSTER FORM online by
NOTE: All-Star Roster Forms MUST be returned by Monday, February 6, 2012.
- Upon receipt of the forms, the Blue Jackets will mail the respective prizes to the instructor’s attention by the end of February 2012

Blue Jackets Celebrity Readings:
Each season the Blue Jackets team up with Columbus Metropolitan Library to read with Students! Blue Jackets players* will be visiting the below locations with Stinger to keep students excited about reading and motivated about reaching their goals!
